The Life of Barış Manço
Barış Manço was born on 2 January 1943 in Kadıköy Moda, Istanbul. His mother's name was Rikkat, a singer, and his father's name was Hakkı. Barış Manço started his interest in music at Galatasaray High School, where he formed his first band called "Kafadarlar". He then continued his education at Şişli Terakki High School. In 1970, he founded the band "Kaygısızlar" with Fuat Güner and Mazhar Alanson. He married Lale Manço in 1978 and had two children, Doğukan and Batıkan. Barış Manço passed away on 1 February 1999.
